Two brick columns were commissioned by Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council in Manchester to celebrate the completion of an Urban Renewal Area in Gorse Hill, Stretford. The columns reflect the identity of the area and are the result of a three month residency at the Youth Centre in Gorse Hill.
During this time workshops with local schools and groups took place, together with open studio days when local people were encouraged to make marks on soft wet bricks for possible inclusion in the final sculptures.
